“Joyeux Printemps!” Spring has finally arrived here in the mountains in Leysin. As the school year rapidly draws to an end, we are working hard to prepare the end of year graduation events and to finish planning for the next school year. In this letter I would like to draw your attention to the following points:
Eight LAS students from five countries went on a service and adventure trip to Thailand over spring break. Everyone returned with an appreciation for their willingness to give something new a try. Everyone expressed gratitude for the support of parents and teachers who made this kind of experience happen in their lives.

We have had a great winter season with overall decent snow conditions, especially in recent weeks. As I am writing this letter to you, we have beautiful weather and almost spring-like temperatures.
The second semester has been very exciting and enriching for all of the LAS community members. During the Family Winter Week, we welcomed over 160 parents and siblings to the campus! It was very successful and we reconnected with parents, shared plans for the future, and listened to parents talk about how they would like to see the school move forward.
THIMUN is a transformative experience for students selected as active participants. What THIMUN is and does is no state secret but only those that have been a part of THIMUN can truly appreciate the opportunity that such an activity provides Leysin American School students.
